Description

The 2013 Second Annual Bayou Adventure Race will consist of three legs. The first leg will be a 5K run along the South and North banks of Buffalo Bayou from Dairy Ashford to Highway 6. As runners arrive at Highway 6 they will quickly grab their boats and paddle down the Buffalo Bayou for 5K until they reach the Dairy Ashford takeout. After carrying their boats up to the transition area, competitors will switch to their mountain bikes and race for 10K to 15k around the dirt trails of Terry Hershey Park and return to where it all began to declare a winner.

Registration

Online Registration Deadline: February 14, 2013
Register online by February 8, 2013 to guarantee availability of a kayak, finisher medal, and an awesome dry-fit race shirt. If you wait until race day, nothing is guaranteed.

Early Registration: $75 per person / $130 per team
Registration on race day: $85 per person / $150 per team

Teams consist of two people of any age. Teams must stay within 30 meters of each other the entire race. Teams may tow during the run. Teams must finish the race together.

RACE CHECK-IN AND START TIMES

Racers can check in the day of the race from 7:30am-8:15am
Pre Race Meeting is at 8:30am
Race Starts at 9:00 am

BOAT DROP: The boat drop is located at the northeast corner of Hwy 6 and Buffalo Bayou. You can drop off your boat from 7:30am-8:30am. (No Motorized Boats Allowed)

BIKE DROP: You will need to drop your bike, helmet, and hydration off at the Dairy Ashford transition area. This is also the start and finish location of the Bayou Adventure Race.
